Rick Faye UK Camp
Every year we host the UK’s only annual Rick Faye camp, at Calshot, near Southampton – a 4 day event in May, packed full of training in Kali, Panantukan, Jun Fan Gung Fu, Silat and Muay Thai and more…
Guro Faye is the ‘founding father’ of the international MKG network of schools – beginning with the first school in Minneapolis, USA from 1982. He regularly holds seminars around the world, but this camp is the only event that you can attend in the UK where you get his amazing tutelage for the longer duration of 4 DAYS!
Rick Faye UK Camp 2020
8th to 11th May 2020 – Calshot Activity Centre
(Regulars: Please note the weekend change – this is due to the Bank Holiday being moved to accommodate the 75th anniversary of VE Day)
This year is the inaugural re-naming of the MKG UK Spring Camp to “The Westwood Camp presents Rick Faye” – in honour of Brendan Westwood, who sadly passed away in April 2019. Brendan was pivotal in establishing this camp in 2015, and it has since become an annual gathering of martial artists from our international family of MKG schools and affiliates.

TBC – Check the Facebook page for the latest announcements!
Attendance at the camp includes over 24 hours of training under Guro Faye’s tuition (spread over the extended Bank Holiday weekend), accommodation and meals – and the opportunity to network (or vague excuse to drink beer!) with like-minded students and instructors from other parts of the UK, and abroad. We have full use of the old aircraft hangar (recommissioned for sports) that has plenty of floorspace – with the added benefit of training outdoors when the weather is good! All levels of experience are welcome – although we recommend you attend some of our classes at one of the various schools around the country, if you have not trained in any of these arts!
